About Me

Since I was young, I have always been inspired by the world around me. In 2010, video editing and digital design became a major way I expressed my love for the things I was passionate about. Looking at my past work, I see that I'm ultimately driven by my unique perspective on relating to the world around me. No matter the medium, I enjoy inspiring creativity and passion in others.

It is my passion to design, edit, and create. In 2018 I decided to further pursue my passion for coding at Southern Methodist University. Given my extensive design background, I have a niche in front end and UI/UX development but over the years I have obtained skills that make me a well rounded full stack developer. I am eager to learn and am excited to see what is next on my journey.

In my free time you'll find me on the ice playing hockey or running with my dogs in the mountains near our home in Breckenridge, Colorado. I am a big animal lover and have a passion for caring for animals. I am currently interested in finding a way I can utilize my techincal and design skills in a field pertaining to bettering the care and lives of animals. It is important to me that I am passionate about the work I do at the next company I decide to work for!

Tampa Bay Lightning Hangman

A hangman style game with a Tampa Bay Lightning twist created using vanilla JavaScript.

Star Sign Trivia

Test your knowledge on Astrology! Star Sign Trivia is an application that uses JavaScript for the logic and jQuery to manipulate HTML.

CashCal

CashCal is a full stack application created using React, Express, Node and MySQL. It is a Calorie and Weight Tracker app driven by incentive. Users earn rewards points that can be redeemed for real-world rewards like giftcards and discounts.

TaskBidder

TaskBidder is a task management application created using React and Material-UI. This application allows users to create a list of tasks and add them to a marketplace where other users can bid on completing those tasks.

Audit History (React, C# .NET)

The ask was to develop an account history log table in a modal with sorting and filtering. Modal triggered by a button on the contract. Filter highlights matching strings. Consumes an audit history API microservice which grabs all event history for the selected contract. History data includes when, who, event type, changes made on contract and cancellation documents.

All Dealers (React, C# .NET)

Consumes a dealer API microservice to view all dealers associated with a particular lender. Each lender instance has a list of dealers where they can add and view all associated dealers. There is also an option for lenders to export their list of dealers in csv format. The Lender Dealer ID’s are clickable and take you to a dealer specific page where the dealer can be edited.

travelBucket

travelBucket is an application that allows users to search travel destinations around the world and learn about the weather and things to do. It also allows users to save a personalized list of their favorite places.

Friend Finder

Friendfinder is a full stack compatibility-based application thats takes in results from a user's survery and then compares their answers with those from other users. The app then displays the name and picture of the user with the best overall match.

Zealous Coffee Co. Website

Designed and developed a website for a coffee company called Zealous Coffee Co. Created all wireframes, design comps, and frontend coding. HTML, CSS, JavaScript.

GO 10 | Transforming I-10

Was the lead graphic designer on the GO 10 TxDOT project for 4 years. Tasks included maintaining website, creating graphics for website, construction photo editing, and posting weekley closures with detailed closure maps. Other materials created regularly were newletters, electronic emails, email signatures, and news releases.

The Southern Gateway Website Redesign

Was tasked with leading the website redesign for the Southern Gateway Managed Lanes Project in Dallas, Texas. Worked closely with the client(TxDOT) to concept all wireframes. Took all photos and created all maps and graphis.

Sam Houston Tollway Website

Was tasked with designing a website for the Sam Houston Tollway Ship Channel Bridge project out of Houston, Texas. Worked closely with client to create flow charts, wireframes and mockups.

Bamazon (node-mysql)

Bamazon is an Amazon-like storefront CLI application created using Node.js, MySQL & inquirer npm. This app takes in customer orders, calculates the sales price, and depletes stock from the store's Inventory.

NHL Post Web Scraper

NHL Post is a full stack express application which follows MVC design pattern that lets users scrape news articles from NHL.com. Users can save articles as well as view and add commments to those saved articles. Mongoose is used to store data in MongoDB and Handlebars to generate the HTML.

Click-a-Daisy

Click-a-Daisy is a memory game built with React.js. The user must click on the images without clicking on the same image twice until all 16 images are clicked. Each image clicked scores one point but if the same image it clicked twice, the score resets to 0, and the game starts over.

React Google Books Search

Google Books Search is a MERN (Mongo, Express, React, Node) app that allows users to search for books using the Google Books API and save any book to a database. Users can also delete any saved books.

Hogwarts Train Scheduler

Train Scheduler, with a hogwarts twist, is an application that incorporates Firebase to host arrival and departure data inputed by a user. It retrieves and manipulates this stored information with Moment.js.

Eat-Da-Burger

Eat-Da-Burger is a full stack restaurant application created using Node, Express, Handlebars, MySQL and a custom ORM. It uses the MVC design pattern, Node and MySQL to query and route data to the app and Handlebars to generate the HTML.

A demo reel of the video and motion projects worked on at Full Sail University.

Poet Movie Trailer

Created a movie trailer in After Effects by creating a 3D space environment and then keyframming a camera through the environment to the music.

Full Sail University Commercial

Concepted everything from pre production to post production. Half the footage was filmed using a green screen. Compositing techniques were used.

Skate Pink Commercial

Skate Pink is a non profit fund raising organization focused on raising awareness and support for breast cancer. Created a video commercial for the Orlando branch. Filmed and edited all video.

Ally Bank Commercial

Created an infographic commercial for Ally Bank targeted towards young professionals. Came up with the concept, wrote the script and created motion graphics that kept up with the consistency of the branch.

Zero Gravity Skateboard Co.

Three different video clips were combined to create one seamless video. A sky replacement was created using a rotoscoping technique in After Effects. Boujou was used for motion tracking.

Faze Apparel | Bayskatin'

Edited a skateboard video for Faze Apparel out of San Francisco.

3D and 2D ModernFX Intro

3D and 2D intro for ModernFX - a 3D motion graphics company.

DJ Classick Logo Animation

A logo animation created for DJ Classick.

Poet CD and Movie Trailer

Created a logo, CD cover, and movie trailer. The movie trailer takes viewers on a ride through space and time. Metaphorically speaking, this represents an invitation to the journey that Angels & Airwaves music can take you on where anything is possible.

Skate Pink Campaign

Fund raising organization focused on breast cancer awareness. Each major city has its own branch of Skate Pink with a custom designed skateboard deck reflecting that city. Designed logo, website, business cards, skateboard decks and a video commercial.

Ellie Goulding Poster Design Speedart

A timelapse video of the entire poster design from start to finish.

Mystical Coffee Co.

Mystical Coffee is an exotic coffee company located in Plano, TX. Desgined logo, business cards, magazine ad and menu.

The Purrfect Monster

Created a publishing company for a childrens book I am writing. A digital painting technique was used to create the artwork for the book cover. Designed logo, sketches, artwork and mockup.
